Once a gentleman said to Srila Prabhupada that “Mahatma Gandhi was a sadhu among the politicians” to which Srila Prabhupada responded “No he was a politician among the sadhus.”

Now the question we have to ask: is Madhu Pandit Dasa a gunda among the sadhus? Read the following text and decide for yourself. Sub: Illegal confinement and threat to life administered by
Madhu Pandit Dasa, Prahaladananda Das, Jaichaitanya Das,
Amitasana Das, Charukrishna Das ,Radhakanta Das,
Kodandaram Das, Sathya Gaura Chandra Das, Vasudeva Keshav Das, Aishwarya, Shyamasundara, Ramakrishna Upadhyaya and others.

1. I am residing in the aforesaid address and I am a devotee of Lord Krishna and I believe in the philosophy propagated by Srila Prabhupada. In this connection, I was regularly visiting the ISKCON temple at Hare Krishna Hills, Chord Road, seeking discourses on various philosophical issues. The trainees are called as FOLK (Friends of Lord Krishna) and special training will be given to the Folk Members to dedicate their life to serve Iskcon Bangalore.

2. On 31.1.2009, when I had gone to deposit the money I had collected from sales of Books given to me by the temple. I saw suspicious activities and hence visited the New Folk Building located on the left side of the vehicle exit of the Temple at Hare Krishna Hill, Bangalore along with Siddarth Gupta, I found that the hall was smelling bad with the smoke of cigarettes and I also found two persons who were fully drunk and in an inebriated condition, they were wearing a tag “Trainee Farmers”. I was rather shocked, but could not express myself any where at that stage. I had also seen some suspicious movment of certain unconnected persons in the temple premises moving freely in a White Maruti 800 car which belonged to the temple devotees.

3. Under such circumstances, I had received a mail about a website by name “www.iskcon-bda.org”. I had opened the said website and found there is a hyperlink in the blog section to another website “www.madhubandit.info” The website permitted posting comments in the nature of blogs. I was disturbed the way in which certain suspicious people were entertained and I posted comments about what I knew and had seen and heard in the temple premises with an identification name as “Love for Srilaprabhu Pada” and I had signed as “77”. I had updated the blogs on several dates on the said website.

4. On 21st Feb 2009, one Prahaladananda Das who is in charge of Golaka Trust handling Agarbathi business of the ISKCON temple had contacted Sanatana Das. Prlahadananda Das had expressed certain difficulties faced by him such as ill-treatment by Madhu Pandit and other temple management, both financially by underpaying him as well as depriving him of basic necessities i.e. medical expenses etc. and sought for the help of Sanatana Das. I was with Sanatana Das and decided to help Prahladananda Das by taking him to our known persons in the Hare Krishna Movement next day to see if we could help him, but this Prahaladananda Das turned out to be a person, who was instigated and sent on behalf of Madhupandit Dasa to extract some information to implicate me and others in false charges.

5. On 1-3-2009, I received a message from Prahaladananda Das at around 8.20 AM to come to the temple. Later Amitasana Das had sent three messages from his Mobile bearing No. 9342312625 stating that Madhupandit Das and Jaichaitanya Das will address on the Legal matters to all the senior FOLK members. Prahaladananda Das had also sent another SMS at around 9:28 am from his mobile bearing no. 9620189236 asking me to come to the temple. Unwary of their pre-meditated and pre-conceived and pre-conspired idea of putting me into illegal confinement, I went to the temple at around 10:30am in the morning. Madhupandit Das, Prahaladananda Das, Jaichaitanya Das, Amitasana Das, Charukrishna Das, Radhakanta Das other devotees/persons whose names are mentioned in the subject along with many other devotees & many other FOLK members were present and they against my will forcefully confined me inside in a hall below the main deity room known as Srila Prabhupada’s office and started abusing and insulting me. They called it meeting of the FOLK and devotees. Prahaladananda Das started playing what he had recorded in his previous conversations when we had met the other devotees of ISKCON and started passing comments which arouse the other FOLK members and they shouted at the top of their voice against me for having put up such comments, I was demanded to give my email ID and password failing which, I was threatened by them of physical assault and torture. Being alone in such a situation one FOLK member Aishwarya took my email ID and Password which was pre-planned and pre-conspired by all those who were present, as was very much apparent. Video Clippings were taken when ever necessary and it was put off when they were threatening or when they had raised the hands against me or Sanatana Das. It is under these circumstances that I was made to part with my email ID and Password through which they accessed my mail account. The full time devotees particularly Prahaladananda Das, Amitasana Das and Charukrishna forced me to call up Siddarth and seek his presence at the temple immediately by putting the Mobile on the Loud Speaker mode. When I called Siddarth, perhaps sensing some mischief, he answered that he could not come. They again made me call Sanatana Das and Sanatana Das came to the temple at around 1:30 PM. They had again made me call Siddarth to seek for his presence and when Siddarth asked me as to whether he should inform the police, they forced me to tell Siddharth that I could not hear him and then disconnected the call. Thereafter, my mobile was snatched, my chanting beeds along with Chanting bag, helmet were also snatched. After Sanatana Das came, Jaichaitanya Das caught him by his neck and Charukrishna assaulted him on his head hitting him hard with his hand. In the same circumstances of threat that these people are going to assault me and Sanatan , Madhupandit Dasa gave me a draft of the letter which he told me and Sanatan to copy in our handwriting if we wanted to spare ourselves of further physical attacks and confinement. Amitasana Das sat next to us, & made us write the letter in our handwriting and forced us to sign the same and made us put our Left Hand Thumb impression on it. All this was done under threat against our will.

6. At around 3:30 PM post noon, they forced us into an Innova car which had one grey colour Honda Civic car leading and Innova car was in the middle, which was followed by another Temple Vehicle Scorpio. AS per my memory I remember the no. of the Scorpio was No.3141 which I could see as I was sitting on the last seats of Innova car. IN this way both of us were taken to a house in Vidyaranya Pura. I can identify the said house. Prahaladananda Das, Sridham Das, Radhakanta Das, Kodandaram Das, Shyamsundar, Ramkrishna Upadhyay and others, in all about 15 members were present in the house. Both of us were made to sit in a room, in which they had already arranged for a Video Camera. When we were being taken to the Vidyaranya Pura house, we were threatened by Prahaladananda Das that we should repeat the same things which we were made to state in the temple failing which, we may have to face serious consequences. They made us state that we had posted such comments and it was at the instigation of the other devotees. Later at around 6:30 to 6:45PM, they had taken us to the Police Station at Vidyaranya Pura along with all three cars. The officer whose name I do not know, but I can identify him, said that I will have to write a letter as already written by us in the temple under the threat but this time address it to the Police Inspector of Vidyaranya Pura instead of Radhakanta Das. We were also told that our letter should refer to a complaint filed by Radhakanta Das. We were not shown what complaint Radhakanta had filed against us. Out of fear we complied with these orders of the Police officer and Radhakanta and others. The Police officer told us that they are not registering any case but are warning us and said that they will let us go only if a responsible person from our family would come to the police station. It is only at this time my Mobile was returned and I called my mother. My father came at around 9:15 to 9:30 by Auto and it was only thereafter that I was released from the Police Station. Then I went to temple to take my vehicle and other belongings & Radhakanta Das returned the vehicle, helmet and slippers which we were not allowed to carry when we were taken to the location at Vidyaranyapura. I was not given my bead bag and chanting beads.

7. I was in a deep shock of having faced such hostility, confinement, & torture. In pursuit of eternal peace, I had joined the ISKCON temple and the way in which Prahladananda Dasa inspired by Madhupandit Dasa, Jaichaitanya Das and others above named have behaved did expose me to a great shock and it took some time to recover from the same and to reconcile myself. I convinced myself that truth should prevail and these persons will have to be brought to books.

8. My tormentors like Radhakanta Das, Prlahdananda Das and others advised me to leave the matter as it is so that I will not face any further hostility from them. They also promised that If I didn’t take any further action then I will have no fear of losing my job or going abroad. With all these fears it took me some time for me to come out of the shock and approach police with a complaint. I was detained almost from about 10:30am in the morning to 9:30pm in the night and kept in constant physical threat, mental torture and intimidation. Prahaladananda Das in particular had used such abusive words arousing my emotions and verbally abused me repeatedly, but being in a helpless condition I was bound to be silent. All these things as I can gather were premeditated, preconspired, as they had made a computer, video camera and Internet facility available at the place where I was confined in the temple, they had made arrangements for playing pre-recorded conversations between myself and Prahaladananda Das in the temple. Several Videos of us confessing were recorded in the temple. The cars were ready, Video Camera was arranged in Vidyaranya Pura House and even the [police] Inspector welcomed them and their job was done in obtaining my statement within some time. Each one of them was fully aware of what was happening and what they intended.

9. Hence I request to register a case against Madhupandit Dasa, Prahaladananda Das, the persons named in the subject paragraph above and others for having illegally confined me and administering physical threats, mental torture and abuses as well as illegally taking possession of my email ids and also changing my passwords of my email addresses so that the guilty are brought to books upon prosecution and punishment, for which act of yours, I shall remain grateful. I also would like to state that in view of the threats given to me by Madhu Pandit Das and others in case anything happens to me either physically, mentally or otherwise then Madhu Pandit Das and others above named should be held responsible and appropriate action be taken against them.
